This place rocks. It reminds me of all the stuff my parents would make growing up. The beef rolls were out of this world - crispy spring onion pancake with generous, thick slices of roast beef. We also had the fish with black been sauce (thank goodness there was a picture on the wall - no idea what to call that in Chinese), and a new dish that consisted of flash fried pork ribs with a spicy peppery garnish on top. The meat just fell off the bone after you bit into it. 3 hearty dishes, rice, and complimentary bowls of hot and sour soup - $51. Not bad.
Well done, Peking Restaurant. Well done. -

The food was incredibly greasy and bland.
Shrimp Fried Rice - $12.50
5 pieces of shrimp, WHITE rice, eggs and onions
Sweet and Sour Chicken Dinner Special - $17.95
chicken was so mushy it was inedible
hot and sour soup was very bland, no mushrooms
Orange Chicken - $13.95
mushy chicken, hardly any flavor (unless you actually eat one of 10 orange slices it comes with. Got lots of "bad" pieces of chicken that we couldn't even eat.
Even the steamed dumplings ($8.95) were greasy.
What a disappointment. Will not return. -

This review is about the food only. We ordered food through Door Dash from here so we didn't get to experience service or the restaurant itself.
The food is very good. After reading a review in the OC Register, this was touted as one of the best places to eat in the OC. So like I said before, we placed our order through Door Dash and ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings, Shrimp with noodles, a moo shu pancake (forgot the name), some steamed dumplings and a beer role (forgot the name of that too).
My first recommendation would be to order the handmade noodles and pay the extra $1. Totally worth it. The dumplings (pan-fried and steamed) were very good. The shrimp with noodles were my favorite. The noodles were handmade and had a nice chew to them. My wife had the moo sho and loved it. We both like the beef role but it was kind of dry and the meat was a little tough but still good, just not great like the other food items.
I'd definitely order from here again and order everything we ordered the first time except maybe for the beef roll. We'd probably try something else next time. -

Great and delicious place, very authentic Chinese. The ambience is very mom and pop like, just the way I like it.
Think of your grandma cooking in the kitchen, This is what it's like. I'm not surprised they are not text savvy with Uber eats or food delivery services. Not sure if you can teach Grandma how to interact with online for delivery services. Definitely worth the drive out here and just eat at their place -

Service was prompt and courteous, food was a smidge above average for your typical Chinese takeout fare.
Visiting here from out of state, I sought out a restaurant offering what I craved (a good bed of yellow, not brown, fried rice). Offering that very dish over Yelp/GrubHub to boot, I quickly zeroed in on Peking Restaurant. Seeing a number of reviewers rave over the dumplings, I added an order of that too.
The food was ready for takeout ahead of the estimated time, my order of chicken fried rice and steamed dumplings neatly packed with some sturdy plastic utensils and chopsticks.
The fried rice was right on point. It was greasy but not overly so, only as salty as you'd expect, with little chunks of crisp chicken and onion slices meandering throughout. The dumplings were more of a let down: unevenly filled and the wrapper tasting a tad overcooked.
